Hi

I need some help with adding a user to the role on Analysis Manager, which is install on Server 2008.

I am running SQL version 8.0

On the Enterprise Manager, when I click on the node and go to properties, on the tab ‘Active Directory’ I click on Add, this is good, I got no errors, I even did a restart and let it a whole day.

Next day when I am trying to add a user to new role or to an existing role in Analysis Manager and I click on “Add” to select the users, nothing happens, no active directory comes up.

Please help me with this.

Thanks.

Can you add domain account with domain_name\user_name?

Hi

Nope sorry.

If I could have manually add an accoun that might have been good.

But once you click on Add, the active directory is suppose to open which would allow me to select my users.

But that is not working.

Let's start over, you connected to ssas instance in ssms and tried to user. In which properties? Instance properties or cube properties?

Hi

Ok so starting over.

I have Analysis Manager ver 6.1, install on a Windows Server 2008 R2.

When I open Analysis Servers and drill down to the level where the cubes are located, I right click on the cube, select 'Manage Roles'.

The window box ' Cube Role Manager' opens

Click on Edit

Click on the tab Membership

Then when I click on Add, nothing happens.
