We are currently running SQL Server 2008 R2. When SQL Server 2008 RTM comes out, are we going to have to re-install SQL Server, or will the "upgrade" be more like installing a service pack?

Can you please describe clearly PowerPivot's functionality as a standalone application vs. its functionality when used with SQL 2008 R2?

If you'd like to ask a question, please do some via the General Microsoft SQL Q&A area, rather than under this link so we can make sure we answer directly to the question and share broadly.

Thanks

Paul
